Classroom have always involved students learning off a teacher, gaining important information from that one who already know and understood. Students are more motivated in solving problems that relate to real life situation (Lombardi, 2007). Students are now so involved in the day to day life and having the opportunity to solve real life situation will benefit them.
I believe that schools are going to evolve in a variety of ways, from the use of technology to the way in which students are completing home work. Personally I think school will eventually get rid of all books as far as writing and text books and students will be using laptops, iPads and computers to research and complete work. Some schools already have taken the step with having homework accessible and completed online. A negative to this Technology based homework is the access to it at home, some families do not have access to computer, laptops or iPads and this will hinder students into doing homework.
Apart of my personal prediction is I believe that future classrooms will to an extent stay some what the same, except for the new and improving technology based learning. There will still be a curriculum teachers need to teach with and great resources to incorporate into the classroom. Students should still have the opportunity to engage in a variety of learning environments. All learning spaces discussed should in some way be incorporated into the classroom to allow students to engage and participate in all aspects. Learning environments for the 21st century must be ones in which students are actively engaged with learning tasks and with each other (Slavin, 2010).
